A little bit of New Orleans came to Redding on Wednesday night at the Cascade Theatre.

The Neville Brothers, a quartet of Cajun music-makers, had their enthusiastic
fans dancing in the aisles to a blend of musical styles.

The group offers a combination of blues, funk, gospel, jazz, rhythm and blues,
and soul, sometimes accompanied by social commentary.

The brothers are known for delivering powerful live performances and
Wednesday night's audience would no doubt agree the band lived up to its billing.

The band was heading to Nevada for concert dates in West Wendover and Lake
Tahoe. A Sept. 18 performance is scheduled for Sept. 18 at the Arkley Center in Eureka.
